Mohammed Kudus has been hailed as the Premier League star of the week following his outstanding performance against Newcastle United on Saturday.

Despite West Ham’s defeat in the thrilling seven-goal encounter, Kudus’s remarkable display earned him widespread recognition.

The 23-year-old not only scored but also provided an assist for the Hammers in the intense match at St James’ Park.

His exceptional contributions stood out among his peers, leading to his selection as the best player of matchday 30 by statistical analysis agency WhoScored.

Kudus received a stellar rating of 9.34 from WhoScored, highlighting his instrumental role in West Ham’s gameplay. His performance included scoring and assisting in a Premier League match for the first time, along with five successful tackles, two key passes, and six successful dribbles, showcasing his sensational individual display.

In addition to being named Premier League Player of the Week, Kudus secured a spot in the Team of the Week alongside other standout performers from the weekend’s matches. Notably, Chelsea’s Cole Palmer closely followed Kudus with a rating of 9.20 after his brace against Luton Town.

His performance also saw him reach double figures in goal involvement as he now has seven goals and four assists in the Premier League.

Additionally, his goal made him the highest-scoring Ghanaian for West Ham United surpassing Andre Ayew who scored 12 in 50 games. Kudus now has 13 goals in 35 matches in all competitions underscoring his efficiency in front of goal.
