“I don’t want that guy to ever hear from me” Basketmouth finally speaks on his beef with Ay Makun (Video)

Ace Nigerian comedian, Bright Okpocha popularly known as Basketmouth has finally addressed his long-standing beef with rival, Ayo Makun.

While performing at an event recently, guests the event urged him to speak on their beef and address the AY’s claims that N30,000 is the reason for their beef.

Unfortunately, the comedian stated that he doesn’t want AY to ever hear from him.

He admitted that though he wants to speak on it, he knows that many would record it and leak it online.

“My side of the story… Noo. To be honest, I love to talk about it but some people will record it and it will leak.

I don’t want that guy to ever hear from me”.

Ay Makun reveals the genesis of his long-standing beef with Basketmouth

This is coming after Ayo Makun shared the genesis of his long-standing beef with his colleague at Basketmouth.

In an interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo, AY was asked why he talked about an uncontrollable superiority complex when a fan asked about the misunderstanding between him and Basketmouth in a question-and-answer section on his Instagram stories in May 2022.

Revealing what led to their beef, the box office King went down memory lane in 2006 when he was still a bachelor and trying to earn a living for himself. He said he stood in for Basketmout at an event however he didn’t receive his pay of thirty thousand Naira which was gold at the time. Read more here.

This isn’t the first Basketmouth is addressing his beef with Ay.

Why AY and I can not be friends – Basketmouth spills

Kemi Filani reported last year, that Basketmouth revealed why he is not friends with Ay Makun.

In a chat with media personality, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, on the Black Box show, Basketmouth disclosed that he fell out with AY because the comedian messed with loyalty.

He further explained that AY has apologized and they have made peace.

He said: “I’d have stayed where the competition is. I still do standup comedy but not with great energy because I’m targeting all-around entertainment now. My competition is me. There’s nothing [like a feud] between AY and me.
