The award-winning Ghanaian producer has made known what he charges to make a beat.
British-Ghanaian prolific record producer and mixing engineer, Jonathan Kweku Awote-Mensah, popularly known as Jae5, has revealed how much he charges per beat.
The award-winning producer, who has over the years has worked with heavyweights Burna Boy, J Hus, Skepta, Dave, Rema, Koffee, NSG, and a slew of others shared with the public some personal information regarding how much it costs to work with him.
Taking to his Twitter, Jae5 made it known that his production charges start from £25,000 (approximately 113 Million Ugandan shillings) adding that he only charges NSG for less because the group is family to him.
It’s £25,000 for a beat from me, do not not book a session with me knowing full well you can’t afford the price it’s a disrespect! And if u try reproduce my thing my lawyer will sue u for your little £10 earnings behave yourself. Only ppl who pay under 10 are NSG AND THATS BLOOD.

The producer went on to state that all the money doesn’t go to him, but rather he also has to pay the instrumentalists who work on the beats with him, hence the reason why he charges that high.
