General manager of Dreams FC, Ameenu Shadow has expressed unwavering confidence in his team’s ability to overcome Egyptian giants Zamalek in their upcoming clash even if they find themselves with only 10 players on the field.

Despite the daunting challenge ahead in their much anticipated CAF Confederation Cup clash, Shadow believes that Dreams FC has what it takes to emerge victorious.

Dreams have enjoyed a remarkable debut in the CAF Confederation Cup, going all the way to securing a semifinal berth and the general manager in an interview on Warm Up plus on TV3 believes the feat the club has achieved puts the Still Believe boys in pole position to beat Zamalek on the day.

“We are very, very confident that we will do well. I mean, for what the boys have done so far. I go into competitions or into dwells like this, not having given pressure at all. We’ve analysed our opponents, Zamalek. Yes, we respect them for what they’ve achieved in the past.

“But per analysis, I think when the chips are down, eleven against eleven, probably even ten against eleven, whatever the situation is, and the kind of morale and spirit behind these boys, when they are unleashed, I’m very, very, very sure that will bring a very, very good result,” he said.

Ameenu Shadow also confirmed the team’s quest to document their debut CAF Confederation Cup campaign on the popular streaming service Netflix.

“In fact, when we started the campaign, the only challenge that I have, I don’t know whether the quality of the footage and the things that we are gathering will be good enough to qualify, but we are gathering a lot. Nobody will. We are gathering a lot. It’s also another avenue to even rake revenue, so we’re doing our best to gather a lot of footages,” he added.

Before they face Zamalek, Dreams will have a little bit of time to shift their attention to the local league where it hasn’t been all rosy for the Still Believe Boys. They sit 16th and inside the relegation zone.
